We don’t promise too much at Freedom Park Lagos. But certainly, you will come into our space and by accident ram into a considered massive show to relish a value you have not bargained for, with your token. Unlike many other spaces where you would pay through your nose to attend a show, in a bid to maximize the value for your money. Historically and consistently, Freedom Park Lagos has been a platform encouraging the growth, development and the conservation of arts and culture, including music and entertainment. Certainly, many music enthusiasts would not have the opportunity to witness the scintillating performances of the A-list Artistes billed to be on this show, if not for the support of Freedom Park Lagos.

Faze was a memeber of the defunct Plantashun Boiz, a Nigerian Hip-hop and R&B music group. It consisted of 2face Idibia, Faze and Blackface. The group was formed during their college years in Enugu, at the Institute of Management and Technology (I.M.T Enugu), Eastern Nigeria. The group moved down to Lagos where they gained popularity and with the inclusion of new member Faze at the time it was a formidable team. It didn’t take long before a chance meeting with Tony Tetuila another Nigerian ex-member of The Remedies led to further exposure of the group and eventual release of their first album as Plantashun Boiz in the year 2000.

The group however split up after the exit of 2 Face who wanted a solo career on the platform of Kennis Music at the time, this didn’t go down well with the other members of the group, but they moved on and each released their individual single albums first with 2 Face and then Blackface followed by Faze. These albums were successful, and Nigerians kept anticipating more from them even as many hoped for their reunion.

The group was managed by Owoyemi Akinwale Nathaniel (Natz), Ifeanyi Oji (Odogwu), and Obasi Leonard (Baba Leo). As a result of the Plan B reunion album, Plantashun Entertainment Limited Management was born in 2007. The Plan B album was distributed by T Joe. They were active from late 1990s, early/mid 2000s, 2007, 2014 and beyond.

After the split of the Plantashun Boyz in 2004, Faze signed to Solomon Arueya’s Westside Music Label of Lagos, Nigeria, to produce his first solo album titled Faze Alone. The album achieved platinum status with sales of 1.2 million units in its first month.

His brand of music called universal flavor – a fine blend of R&B, Reggae, Pop, Dancehall, Ragga and Soul, all with an African undertone was further popularized by the release of the album. In 2006 Faze released his sophomore album “Independent”. The year 2008 witnessed the release of the third studio album from Faze.
