The LAWMA Ambassador and a rising Fuji Star, Alhaji Sikiru Lemon will be sharing the stage with the super talented Nigeria Fuji artiste Alhaji Sulaimon Adio whose popular street name is Atawewe, on Friday, the 8th of March, at Freedom Park Lagos.

Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, also known as the Akile 1 of Fuji Music Worldwide, is a prominent Nigerian Fuji musician. His musical journey has been marked by success, recognition, and numerous awards. He has released approximately 14 albums to date, showcasing his versatility and creativity in the Fuji music genre.  As a widely traveled artist, he has performed both in Nigeria and abroad, earning recognition for his musical prowess.

Atawewe has received over 70 different awards, celebrating his contributions to music. His impact extends beyond just performing; he is also known as “Etu” (meaning “Kingmaker”) within the Fuji circle. One of Atawewe’s notable songs is “OPE NI FUN OLORUN OBA”, which translates to “Gratitude to God Almighty”. This scintillating adoration song reflects his journey from humble beginnings to success, emphasizing his deep gratitude to the divine.

I have been taken on a guided tour by young Daniel - a gifted tour guide with articulate delivery and excellent knowledge of the site's history. The credit of preserving this history goes to the Government of Lagos State under Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola's leadership, who had the enlightenment to embrace Arch. Theo Lawson's vision to preserve this evidence of colonial correction's history. Well done, all impressive must be supported.
