But certainly\, you will come into our space and by accident ram into a considered massive show to relish a value you have not bargained for\, with your token. Unlike many other spaces where you would pay through your nose to attend a show\, in a bid to maximize the value for your money. Historically and consistently\, Freedom Park Lagos has been a platform encouraging the growth\, development and the conservation of arts and culture\, including music and entertainment. Certainly\, many music enthusiasts would not have the opportunity to witness the scintillating performances of the A-list Artistes billed to be on this show\, if not for the support of Freedom Park Lagos. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFaze was a memeber of the defunct Plantashun Boiz\, a Nigerian Hip-hop and R&B music group. It consisted of 2face Idibia\, Faze and Blackface. The group was formed during their college years in Enugu\, at the Institute of Management and Technology (I.M.T Enugu)\, Eastern Nigeria. The group moved down to Lagos where they gained popularity and with the inclusion of new member Faze at the time it was a formidable team. It didn’t take long before a chance meeting with Tony Tetuila another Nigerian ex-member of The Remedies led to further exposure of the group and eventual release of their first album as Plantashun Boiz in the year 2000. \n\n\nThe group however split up after the exit of 2 Face who wanted a solo career on the platform of Kennis Music at the time\, this didn’t go down well with the other members of the group\, but they moved on and each released their individual single albums first with 2 Face and then Blackface followed by Faze. These albums were successful\, and Nigerians kept anticipating more from them even as many hoped for their reunion.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe group was managed by Owoyemi Akinwale Nathaniel (Natz)\, Ifeanyi Oji (Odogwu)\, and Obasi Leonard (Baba Leo). As a result of the Plan B reunion album\, Plantashun Entertainment Limited Management was born in 2007. The Plan B album was distributed by T Joe. They were active from late 1990s\, early/mid 2000s\, 2007\, 2014 and beyond.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter the split of the Plantashun Boyz in 2004\, Faze signed to Solomon Arueya’s Westside Music Label of Lagos\, Nigeria\, to produce his first solo album titled Faze Alone. The album achieved platinum status with sales of 1.2 million units in its first month. \nHis brand of music called universal flavor – a fine blend of R&B\, Reggae\, Pop\, Dancehall\, Ragga and Soul\, all with an African undertone was further popularized by the release of the album. In 2006 Faze released his sophomore album “Independent”. DESCRIPTION:Sonia Aimy and JBWAI bring you the AWA Nigeria Tour 2023\, in partnership with Freedom Park Lagos\, ActionAid\, Institut Francais Nigeria\, Lagos State University\, Ontario Arts Council\, Vomnetwork\, Playroom Media Limited\, Showbuzz Media Ltd\, Mambaah Bistro\, and Culture Advocates Caucus. \nAfrican Women Acting (AWA) is a not-for-profit organization geared towards empowering\, preserving and promoting women issues & the heritage of African culture through African arts and Female artists or artists with African expressions. \nFounded in 2011 by international artist Sonia Aimy\, African Women Acting (AWA) is an incorporated non-profit organization. The organization aims to empower\, promote and preserve African cultural arts of all modalities in Ontario. These include vocal and instrumental music\, theatre\, dance\, visual arts\, spoken word\, story-telling and poetry. \nIn order to comprehensively achieve our goal\, we ardently support female African artists and those of the diaspora and champion related issues. As we are a community of women\, the agenda of addressing social activism for social issues such as sexism\, discrimination\, racism\, homelessness\, gender-based violence and mental health are some aimed at to eradicate. Through artistic expressions\, AWA brings these issues to light and offers knowledge\, support and solutions. \nAlthough AWA prioritizes promoting female African artists\, we strongly believe in inclusivity in the arts community. We encourage partnerships and collaborations with artists of all genders\, ethnicities and religious or spiritual beliefs. \nOn Thursday\, 7th December at Freedom Park Lagos\, the Music Concert will be staging for about Three (3) hours to demonstrate the purpose of the organization’s establishment. DESCRIPTION:The event “A Keresimesi in Sadboi Town: Through the Looking Glass” finds inspiration in Lewis Carroll’s “Through the Looking-Glass.” It mirrors the complex journey from childhood innocence to adult realities\, much like viewing an unfamiliar world through a mirror. \nOur event reflects the contrasts of celebrating Christmas in Lagos\, showing both the cheerful celebrations and the tough realities many faces during this time. Using artistic installations and a symbolic “looking glass/mirror\,” we depict Nigerian Christmases of the past\, present\, and future\, urging reflection like “A Christmas Carol.” \nThe central SADBOI “Looking Glass/Mirror” portrays both sides of Christmas: one bright and festive\, the other revealing often ignored hardships. Beyond celebration\, the event aims to prompt contemplation about the chaos and challenges experienced during the holiday season in Nigeria. \nUltimately\, “A Keresimesi in Sadboi Town: Through the Looking Glass” aims to bridge the gap between the joyful appearance of Christmas and the deeper\, less discussed realities\, inviting attendees to reflect on the diverse aspects of the Christmas experience in Nigeria. \nJoin us on Saturday\, 30th December\, this year at Freedom Park Lagos\, as we celebrate A Keresimesi of Reflections\, featuring art exhibitions\, music\, snacks\, storytelling\, local artists\, holiday spirit\, and more. \nShowtime from 2PM.
