Micro Mike\, an expert on the Saxophone was also noted for his pulsating performances on stage and rich baritone voice. \nHe is a multi-instrumentalist and holder of the traditional title of Ajidagba of Ode-Itsekiri (Warri)\, died at St. Mary’s Paddington\, London on Saturday\, July 15\, 2023 following a protracted illness. \nOn his 71st birthday\, Micro Mike had hinted on his long illness when he wrote on his social media handle\, “At 71 who am l to complain. Thank you father for continuing to care for me on Dialysis for 18 years. It can only be a blessing from above. Amen.” \nIn 2021\, Micro Mike alongside singer Monica Omorodion Swaida\, popularly known as “Monicazation” released a soulful reggae single in memory of his friend and late raggae legend\, Majek Fashek\, titled “Majek Fashek\, I remember you!”

DESCRIPTION:This is to bring to the notice of the general public that the storyteller’s art exhibition which was initially scheduled to hold from the 14th to 22nd of July\, and opened on Sunday\, 16th day of the same month\, will be officially reopened on Monday 24th July. \nThe 81-year-old who was trained at the University of Ibadan\, School of Drama\, where he obtained diploma certificate in drama\, is referred to as Baba Agba\, and African culture ambassador extraordinaire. \nThe native of Ipara\, Remo in Ogun State\, was also described as a ”master storyteller” by CNN. He was part of the team that made the film of Kongi’s Harvest by Professor Wole Soyinka. \nThe curation of the art exhibition by Olujimi Solanke\, a Nigerian film actor\, dramatist\, folk singer\, poet and playwright\, will be commissioned by the Professor of Literature\, Creative Writing\, African Studies and Theatre Arts\, Wole Soyinka. \nThe exhibition will take place at the Museum of the Freedom Park\, Lagos from 2:30PM and will extend by one week\, from 9AM till 5PM daily. \nSee you there!

DESCRIPTION:The Freedom Park Lagos will be curating an art exhibition by Olujimi Solanke\, a Nigerian film actor\, dramatist\, folk singer\, poet and playwright. \nThe 81-year-old who was trained at the University of Ibadan\, School of Drama\, where he obtained diploma certificate in drama\, is referred to as Baba Agba\, and African culture ambassador extraordinaire. \nThe native of Ipara\, Remo in Ogun State\, was also described as a ”master storyteller” by CNN. He was part of the team that made the film of Kongi’s Harvest by the Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka. \nThe exhibition kicks off from Friday the 14th of July till Sunday\, 22nd July at the Museum of Freedom Park Lagos\, from 9AM till 5PM daily.
